In the first quarter of 2021, the Australian mobile gaming market saw varying performance among the top five Arcade Sports applications. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers a glimpse into the trends of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users for these popular gaming apps.

Starting with Basketball Arena - Sports Game, published by MASOMO LIMITED from the United Kingdom, we observed an initial decrease in downloads, from 1.7K in the last week of December 2020 to 481 in mid-January 2021. However, a significant surge occurred in early February, reaching 14K downloads, and peaked at nearly 40K in early March. Weekly active users followed a similar trend, spiking from 13K to over 57K in the same time frame. Revenue also saw a dramatic rise, from a modest $455 to a high of $15.9K in mid-March.

WILDLIFE STUDIOS' Tennis Clash:Sports Stars Game exhibited a more stable pattern. Downloads varied, with a peak at 9.9K in late February, while weekly active users showed a significant increase from 20.7K to 33.6K in the same period. Revenue trends remained relatively steady, fluctuating around the mid-ten-thousand-dollar mark, and ended the quarter on a high note with $17.2K.

Voodoo's Jump Dunk 3D, despite a strong start with 31.3K downloads at the end of December, saw a downward trajectory with downloads dropping to 6.5K by the end of March. Weekly active users decreased accordingly, from 51.8K to 13.7K. Revenue figures were negligible throughout the quarter, with no revenue recorded in the latter half of March.

Another title from Voodoo, Catch And Shoot, launched in mid-January 2021, quickly ramped up to 19.5K downloads by the beginning of March, though there was a decrease to 3.3K by the quarter's end. Weekly active users peaked at 26.5K in early March, with revenue reaching a modest $55 in mid-March before declining again.

Lastly, Basketball Life 3D - Dunk Game from AI Games FZ, based in the United Arab Emirates, showed a gradual decline in downloads, starting from 11.5K at the end of December to just under 2K by March's close. Weekly active users mirrored this decline, starting from 20.4K and dropping to 6.9K.
